Welcome to the R tutorial pre-session course page. This page will contain information about installing R and the packages (aka libraries) you will need for the course.
Recent versions of R are available for Windows 95 (and above), Mac OS X 10.4.4 (or higher) and Linux. For this course we will be using R 2.5.0. On the Windows side, these pages will focus on Windows XP and Vista, but the instructions for XP should work for 95, 98, Me, and 2000 as well. Sorry Mac OS X 10.3 (and below) users, there's no official package, but on the Mac page I'll try to give you some tips on how you can try to build it yourself if you feel up to it.
